We are constantly receiving messages. Not only from the mentally handicapped people, but also directly from God. However we don't want to listen. It's already eight years that we [the mentally handicapped] have been speaking and speaking and giving warnings. But many people don't want to listen. Some people say: "You've been warning us for so many years and nothing has happened".
But look carefully and see how much the world has changed in recent years! Let's look together. First of all, consider the Land of Israel. Before the Intifada, we were living in a world of total falsehood. The State of Israel was built on selfishness, which caused terrible social consequences: materialism, stealing, the desire to imitate the Gentiles - and complete unawareness of God and our spiritual roots.
This egoism crept in to the religious and Torah-observant worlds, but mainly into the secular world; all over. Even the charity done by secular Jews is usually not done for idealistic reasons, only for personal benefits. In contrast with the idealism of the early settlers in the Land of Israel, today people are generally motivated by personal gain. Most people just care about themselves and little more.
But when the Intifada began, people suddenly began to realize that there is no control - only God controls! The army can't save us, the economic situation is getting worse and worse. Neither money, nor technology, nor the desire to be like the Gentiles can help us at all. There is no person or organization which can save us! This is very frightening because things are getting worse and worse and no one knows how to stop it.
Let's look outside Israel, at America. A year or more before September 11, the economic situation all over the world was at an unexplainable low. Every month, people would say: "This is the end, now things will improve." But they didn't. After September 11, the situation got worse and worse. Sometimes a slight improvement, but always followed by an even greater decline.
In addition to all this, there have been all kinds of terrible catastrophes, both in the Land of Israel and throughout the world. Consider just last Shabbos, how many murders, drownings, accidents, etc., took place. What can we do? We don't want to open our eyes!
In the U.S. there is a terrible drought and huge fires, to an extent that never before occurred in America. Then there was a plague of locusts of a magnitude that Americans have never experienced in the past. There are also droughts world-wide. In addition to everything, there are various strange deaths and diseases. Many millions throughout the world suffer from AIDS, may God protect us.
Isn't this enough? Aren't these "small" details enough to make us understand what's happening? And there is another worrisome problem: pollution in the atmosphere has changed the world's weather, causing droughts, floods, crop failures etc. And people hardly want to understand and accept what's happening; we don't want to perceive God's clear warnings!
I want to emphasize that several years ago the mentally handicapped said that the world situation will get worse and worse and New York will become as dangerous as Tel Aviv; God will bring all kinds of dangers to the world, wars and other troubles. And this is exactly what has been happening in the last eight years!
Whoever is smart, opens his eyes, observes what is going on, and understands that God is bringing the end. The end of the world as we know it.
God wants to make us capable of bringing the Geula (ie, the end of evil and the triumph of the best parts of humanity) with joy. But if we don't do Teshuva (a sincere taking-stock of one's existence and a complete re-dedication to Godliness), if we don't return to the Truth, then the Geula will arrive in a very harsh way, God forbid. But, it will arrive, God willing.
God wants to save every Jew! There are prophesies which state that few Jews will survive to greet Moshiach, But there is an alternative and this depends on our deeds.
